The shooting happened in the 10400 block of Michael Todd Terrace, just after 9pm. Cook County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of shots fired and found the two brothers with gunshot wounds.
No suspects have been arrested. Sheriff’s detectives are asking anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.
The deaths of the two brothers have left the community shaken. “This is a tragedy,” said Glenview Police Chief Robert Leonard. “Our hearts go out to the families of these two young men.”
The shooting is the latest in a string of gun violence in the Chicago area. In recent months, there have been several high-profile shootings, including the mass shooting at a July 4th parade in Highland Park.
The violence has prompted calls for action from lawmakers and community leaders. “We need to do more to stop this senseless violence,” said Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx. “No one should have to live in fear of being shot.”
The investigation into the Glenview shooting is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Cook County Sheriff’s detectives at 708-865-4896.
