Alex Collins cause of death has been linked to the accident. According to a report by CBS, he was riding a motorcycle Sunday night when his motorcycle collided with a vehicle in Lauderdale Lakes.
Investigators said the NFL star died last Sunday at around 10:20 pm, near the 3300 block of West Oakland Park Boulevard.
Alex was reportedly traveling eastbound on a 2004 Suzuki GSX-R600K motorcycle on West Oakland Park Boulevard, verging Northwest 33rd Avenue. At the same time, a woman was traveling westbound in a 2002 Chevrolet Suburban SUV on West Oakland Park Boulevard.
As the car crossed the eastbound lanes, the motorcycle slammed the rear passenger side of the SUV. It caused the motorcyclist to penetrate the rear passenger side window of the Chevrolet and come to a final rest inside the vehicle.
Unfortunately, Collins was pronounced dead at the scene.
