Oge Okoye is a Nigerian actress, model, producer, television personality, an entrepreneur and a philanthropist who rose to fame after starring in the blockbuster movie ‘Spanner’ alongside Chinedu Ikedieze.

Popular Nigerian comedian and actor, Ogus Baba has mocked Nollywood actress, Oge Okoye over the theft of the picture of two fancy puppies owned by an American reality star, Kenya Moore.

According to Mr. Ogus, the foremost anti-graft body in Nigeria – Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has invited the 36-year old for questioning after the Armed Robbers Association of Nigeria called ‘Omila’ petitioned the group against Ms. Okoye

‘Omila’ is allegedly unhappy with Ms. Okoye for the menial crime which has failed to represent the true values of the pressure group.

On a serious note, Okoye has refrained from all social media activities since on Friday last week after being exposed to have engaged in a case of ‘Electronic Robbery’.

Nollywood actress, Oge Okoye, has indicated her desire to partner with the “I Am Priceless” campaign to further reduce incidences of child trafficking in Nigeria. Okoye, who is the founder of the Positive Life for Children Foundation, disclosed this while on a courtesy visit on Thursday, 29th October, 2013, to the project office of the anti-trafficking and anti-smuggling of migrants project being implemented by the Nigeria Country Office of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the National Agency for the Prohibition of Traffic in Persons and Other Related Matters (NAPTIP).

Accompanied by an entourage of five persons, including Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria 2011, Sylvia Nduka, Oge Okoye disclosed that the Positive Life for Children Foundation works to develop children with special needs. “We help children that are neglected, as this predisposes them to traffic because they can easily fall for the deception of traffickers,” Okoye said.

The actress, who has starred in over sixty Nollywood movies, revealed that her charity has so far provided desks, ceiling fans, and doors for schools in Anambra and the Imo States while 17 children are also on fully-paid scholarships from the Foundation.

Responding, the Project Coordinator, Mumbi Njau commended the actress’s interest in human trafficking, especially concerning vulnerability. She assured the actress of the project’s commitment to work with “Nollywood” and the entertainment industry in influencing perceptions of Europe of vulnerable Nigeria Youth and creating a more realistic image of life for immigrants, particularly those that are smuggled or trafficked to Europe. This commitment is shown in the appointment of two Goodwill Ambassadors, veteran actress Joke Sylvia and award-winning rapper MI to increase awareness and engage in advocacy.

“Formation of partnerships is one of the cornerstones of anti-TIP and anti-SOM response adopted by the Federal Government and NAPTIP,” Mumbi Njau said, adding, “This project, in alignment with that strategic approach, will be willing to work with the Positive Life for Children Foundation and you to further increase awareness of TIP and SOM.”

The visit ended with the Project Coordinator decorating the Nollywood actress with the Blue Heart lapel pins and Ankara fabric as well as other information, education and communication materials.

The project entitled “Promoting Better Management of Migration by Combatting and Reducing Irregular Migration That Occurs Inter Alia through Trafficking in Persons (TIP) and Smuggling of Migrants (SOM)” is funded by the European Union. The “I Am Priceless” campaign is the rallying slogan aimed and giving dignity to the individual and empowering them to reject fantastic offers made by would-be traffickers.

Popular Nollywood actress, Oge Okoye, who was trolled for visiting controversial South African pastor, Alph Lukau, has broken her silence.

The actress who has been off the movie scene explained that she visited Mr. Lukau because of her bed-ridden aunt

Her response comes barely 24 hours after a video of her receiving a prophecy from Mr. Lukau went viral.

Mr. Lukau recently became popular after he was exposed of faking a resurrection miracle in his church.

Oge revealed that her mum told her about the YouTube channel of AMI church (Mr. Lukau’s church) and planned to visit the church because of her aunt who she said is a cancer patient.

She also said she went with her aunt’s photograph to Mr. Lukau’s church.

The 38-year-old actress also revealed that she visited Mr. Lukau’s church in October 2018 and not recently as widely purported.

She wrote, “Due to my mum’s age, I didn’t want her making that long journey from Spain to South Africa so I requested for my aunt’s pictures and promised her that I would visit the church so I can stand in for her as a point of contact. That was how I visited AMI on Sunday, 16th of October 2018, last year.

“Go on YouTube and see for yourselves. Please Nigerians, is anything wrong in seeking the face of God or standing in the gap for my sick aunt? How gullible can people be? Why fabricate stories?”

The leggy actress also said she is saddened by the false news being bandied about her.
