Toyin Aimakhu Biography

Toyin Aimakhu as she is formerly known, now as Toyin Abraham, is a Nigerian film actress, filmmaker, director and producer. She began acting in 2003, when Bukky Wright, a Nigerian film actress, visited Ibadan to shoot a movie. Over the years, she has produced, directed and featured in several Nigerian films, such as Alani Baba Labake and Ebimi ni.

She was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Yoruba film titled Ebimi ni during the 2013 Best of Nollywood Awards alongside Joke Muyiwa, who was nominated for Best Lead Actress in a Yoruba film titled Ayitale.

She obtained a Higher National Diploma certificate in marketing from Ibadan polytechnic and was in the same class with Dibie, C.B.N aka x7.

Based on her acting career, Toyin has also been called upon by politicians to campaign for them. At one of the programs for Nigeria President Goodluck Jonathan’s re-election bid in 2015, the actress said she was prepared to die for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on whose platform Jonathan is contesting. But she later came out to apologize to her fans for the comments and urged Nigerians not to spill their blood for any politician.

She was born on September 5, 1984 in Auchi, a town in Edo State, southern Nigeria. She is 33 years old as of 2018.

She is the daughter of the late Pastor BE Aimakhu who passed on in October 22, 2017. She also has a sister by the name Fatimah Aimakhu. She was born Olutoyin Aimakhu her early years of life in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State in southwestern Nigeria.

Toyin Aimakhu and actor Adeniyi Johnson married in 2013. The couple had their traditional wedding months before their legal wedding at the marriage registry in Ikoyi, Lagos. However, the marriage didn’t last long, and in 2015, the relationship started to fall apart. Allegedly, Niyi Johnson cheated on Toyin, and the couple separated. However, not long after, they got together again. Then Toyin accused Johnson of another case of infidelity, and they separated once more.

This on and off thing went on for a while, until Toyin finally took her things and left, changing her title from Mrs. to Miss and removing the Johnson part from her last name. She got into another relationship with Seun Egbegbe, who is the CEO of Ebony Films. It didn’t last long either.

The actress has no child(ren) of her own. During her marriage to Johnson, Toyin had shared several unflattering photos that sparked rumors of a baby on the way. For a few months, everyone was convinced Toyin was pregnant, even though there were no official announcements.

After about half a year, Toyin appeared with a flat stomach, and it made people very confused. Many people started searching for news on Toyin Aimakhu new baby, but ended up just where they started. There wasn’t any news on the birth or on the baby itself.

The actress has been asked and pleaded by fans ever since her split to reconcile with Adeniyi. She took to Instgaram on July 21, 2016 to share a post which reads: “In the end we are both at fault. I held on too tight and he didn’t hold on enough”

“If I don’t say this to my fans, then I will be an ingrate, I have never seen or heard about any breakup and fans beg this much, but please let God take the wheels please somethings are nice physically but not spiritually and some spiritually but not physically.

“God will lead me, let him lead us please, I don’t want to make any mistake trying to please you fans I really do appreciate the Love and I’m sure he does too, if God says yes no man can ever say no and if he says no then no man can ever say yes..if I don’t acknowledge all your love, pleads and messages, then i will be an ingrate.

“I love u all from the bottom of my heart, please keep praying and supporting us.”

The “Iya Ibadan” actress in past interviews had revealed her undying love for the actor, also stating that though she has deep affection for him, she does not see them getting back together.
