Wharton Man Dies After Battling Depression

Tyler Scerbo, a 22-year-old man from Wharton, New Jersey, has died after battling depression.

Scerbo’s death was confirmed on Monday by his family. He had recently graduated from Ithaca College in May.

“Tyler was a kind and gentle soul who always put others before himself,” his family said in a statement. “He was a loving son, brother, and friend, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.”

A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 24, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the Norman Dean Home for Services in Denville, New Jersey.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 25, at 10:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church in Wharton.
